Not a problem. A shuttle will be running from the Tesco carpark in Letterkenny to Rathmullan. Departure is 7:30pm with return at 12midnight, both Friday 22nd June and Saturday 23rd June. The cost is €4 per person each way. To pre-book contact John Kelly on 087 222 0533.

The list of Donegal craft people appearing at SeaFest is an impressive one indeed. Pop into the Battery in Rathmullan on Saturday and Sunday to see stunning work from:

Martin Gallagher Furniture, Michael Parkinson Furniture, PJ Patton Metalwork, Karen O’Kane Textiles, Joanne Gamble Jewellery, Brian McGee Ceramics, Rosie Moloney Jewellery, Niomi Fluery Papercraft, Hannah McGuinness Jewellery, Sharon McGinley Textiles, Isobel Sangha Soap.

Brian McGee will be doing a demo on Saturday afternoon, and Karen O’Kane on Sunday.

Irish big-wave surf legend, Richie Fitzgerald, @SeaFest2012

The by now classic film of Irish big wave surfing, Waverider, is being screened on SeaFest Saturday at 7pm in the Battery in Rathmullan with surf legend and star of the film, Richie Fitzgerald, in attendance.

That’s right, free, as in gratis. From the vintage fair and beach games to the watersports taster sessions – all of it no spondoolocks required. Unfortunately, we still have to charge for the SeaFest food, but not very much.

Swilly Seals taking to the water at SeaFest

The Swilly Seals Swimming Club will be running an open water swimming competition at SeaFest on Sunday 24 June at 5pm. Courses will be set just off Rathmullan Beach with Under 12s competing over 100 metres, Under 16s over 400 metres, and the Open category over 1500 metres.
